Yesterday, students of final years at the Faculty of Civil Engineering from Belgrade paid a visit to Wind Farm Čibuk 1 construction site in South East Banat organized by Elnos Group.
For them, project of constructing the biggest wind farm in Balkan is a unique opportunity to add field experience to theoretical knowledge just before the beginning of their professional careers.
“We have been provided with a great possibility for our student to see works on roads, steel and concrete structures, as well as construction of overhead and underground electrical installations at one location. They also got a possibility to see necessary mechanization live, and, partly, to get introduced to procedures and rules applied in such a construction site”, said Nenad Fric, one of professors guiding professional field visit from the Faculty of Civil Engineering to Wind Farm Čibuk 1.
He stressed this generation of students would complete their studies by one more significant experience compared to the generations who had not had it thanks to professional field visit organized at Wind Farm Čibuk 1. Students were the most impressed by possibility to enter the wind generator pole, chance to see capacities of 600 ton crane closely as well as visit to substation.
“I am very pleased to see such complex projects of demanding construction aspect are being performed in our country. Works performed here are unique ones in Serbia, and such projects create awareness on need for energy from renewable sources and preserving natural resources”, said David Kojadinović, a student of junior year of the module for structures of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, during his visit. Students agreed that this field visit provided them with possibility to enrich their knowledge by experiences and advices from engineers.
“I am glad we got a chance to be hosts to the students and our future colleagues of the construction site of wind farm Čibuk 1. This is a unique project in Balkan and we, people in Elnos, are proud to be a significant link constructing this very important an complex green project for the Republic of Serbia”, said Dejan Maljenović, Manager of the construction sector in Elnos Serbia.
On this occasion, he reminded that our company constructs 35/400 kV substation, as well as two-system 400 kV transmission line 11 kilometers long and purchases equipment for powering entire Wind Farm Čibuk 1 within Čibuk 1 project.
