The project significance
In the area of Sidensjo it completed the construction of one of the largest wind farm in Sweden. Total installed capacity of the wind farm is 144 MW, and has 48 wind turbines. By using this renewable energy source per year it will reduce CO₂ emissions by 350,000 t.
The new 130-kV transmission line Moliden-Sidensjö serves to connect the wind farm Sidensjö and PTS in Moliden.
Elnos Group works
One part of transmission line 130 kV Moliden-Sidensjö was not only extremely demanding, but also dangerous for work, so works on conductors’ installation and protection rope represent a huge efforts and complete professionalism. Elnos Group installed very demanding 15 km of the route.
Route had an extremely difficult profile with huge height differences. Demand to install 910 mm2 conductors on already existing wooden towers made it dangerous for work, too. Movement is not allowed in one route area of about 800 meters. It is a protected ecological zone with a special plant species, which are about to be extinct. In this part, helicopter stretched rope over the towers. Afterwards, our machinery set three conductors and OPGW.
