The project significance
Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) with a project of installation of OPGW on transmission lines of 400, 220 and 110 kV provided modern telecommunications system, which represents a unique transport infrastructure based on optical cables. EPCG has also created a modern interconnection with the electric power companies in the region and joined the European protected computer network.
Elnos Group works
Elnos BL has installed OPGW and did the installation of the the appropriate equipment on the transmission lines power of 400, 220 and 110 kV in Montenegro.
The first contract for the installation of OPGW was implemented in 2008 and 2009; it was the transmission lines up to 400 kV. The total length of transmission line is about 379 km, namely: TL 400 kV Podgorica 2- Trebinje, TL 400 kV Podgorica 2-Ribarevine, TL 400 kV Pljevlja-Ribarevine, TL 220 kV Podgorica 1-Perućica, TL 220 kV HPP Piva-Pljevlja, TL 110 kV Podgorica-Cetinje, TL 110 kV Cetinje-Budva, TL 110 kV Budva-Tivat, TL 110 kV Tivat-Herceg Novi, TL 110 kV Perućica-Nikšić.
After four years, we have done the installation of OPGW on transmission lines with rated voltages of 400 and 110 kV with a total length of 171 km.
