The project significance
The wind farm Bogdanci is the first wind farm in Macedonia. It was built in an area of 29 hectares, has sixteen wind turbines with installed power of 2 to 3 MW. For the first time in Macedonia the wind is used as a driving force for obtaining a pure energy from renewable sources, and on an annual basis about 100 GWh which is enough for the needs of 15,000 households. By the construction of this wind farm it was opened a new chapter of energy strategy and portfolio in Macedonia.
Elnos Group works
By the “turnkey” principle Elnos BL built up 12 km long transmission line 110 kV that connected the first wind farm in Macedonia with the transmission system of Macedonia. The contract includes: project equipment delivery and execution of works. We are especially proud of the fact that for the needs of the transmission line we projected three new types of transmission line towers that are successfully attested in Energoinvest and that meet the existing regulations and standards. The transmission line was designed as a whole-system of the length about 12 km. Conductor that we installed is Al/Fe 240/40 mm2, and earth wire such as OPGW.
