The project significance

Hydro Power Plant Zvornik, one of the oldest within the Power Industry of Serbia, was built and put into operation six decades ago. Its revitalization is very important for the energy system of Serbia, because the lifetime of hydropower plant will be extended for an additional 30 years, and the installation of completely new electrical and mechanical equipment, will increase efficiency and effectiveness. In addition, maintenance costs will be reduced because it new equipment with better technical characteristics, materials and technology will be installed.

The project includes the complete rehabilitation of four units and 110 kV power transformer substations, design and execution of electromechanical part, delivery and commissioning safe-handling devices and the delivery and commissioning of the power plant control system.

Elnos Group works

Under the contract, we are responsible for the design, procurement, installation and commissioning of the electromechanical equipment. Also, an annex to the contract was signed for the harmonization and validation of the entire project of revitalization of Zvornik hydroelectric power plant, which is an additional segment of this contract.

Validation and harmonization relate to the mechanical part of the project, for which of our partners from Voith are in charge , while our job in this part is compliance with the standards of the Republic of Serbia and the completion of the main project of rehabilitation of HPP Zvornik.
