Our new member – Elnos Romania

News | December 13, 2023

Elnos Group has expanded its horizons with the inclusion of a new member – Elnos Romania. With this addition, we have extended our operations to 18 countries across the region and Europe.

This country is making significant strides in the field of renewable energy. Therefore, we perceive it not only as crucial for developing new projects but also essential for strengthening our teams within the EU.

The plans for developing this market are many, and we take pride in the successful completion of our inaugural project in this country.

The first project

In the largest country in Southeastern Europe, we efficiently executed a project within just one month to ensure a reliable power supply for the steel plant Tenaris–Silcotub in the city of Calarasi. The project involved the reconstruction of secondary equipment for a 110/10 kV substation within the aforementioned steel plant. Within this challenging timeframe, we completed the tasks assigned in a total of eighteen 110 kV bays, encompassing testing and commissioning.

What makes this project particularly interesting and noteworthy is that we manufactured protection and control, and distribution cabinets for substation reconstruction in our EMR workshop in Belgrade. Subsequently, we transported them to Romania, where we installed them along with the remaining equipment and all associated cables.

Strengthening our position

Elnos Group has become a leader in the sphere of electrical engineering, thanks to its ability to conquer new markets and successfully handle challenging and complex projects. The establishment of Elnos Romania is just one of many steps we plan to take as we pursue our mission of promoting sustainable and reliable energy in the region and beyond.
