Project importance:
Spreader 12.000 is a modern mining machine, which is a part of the first “Green” project in mining field of the EPS. Project of its construction in the Mining Basin “Kolubara” is very important for development of mining and electrical power engineering sector in Serbia. Thanks to application of , coal in Kolubara Basin shall be exploited more efficiently and more ecologically justified. Goals for realization of this project are as follows: pollution decrease, decrease of wear and tear of the equipment and maintenance costs.
Elnos Group works:
Elnos Group participated in a big investment project “Environmental protection improvement in P EPS and MB Kolubаrа”, the first “green” project in the field of mining in the company EPS. This was a project of constructing Spreader 12.000, one of the most modern machines in the mining field in Europe. Being Subcontractors of the company FL Smidth in this project, we performed tasks of the joint contract including designing, purchase, delivery, installation of electrical equipment, and commission of Spreader 12000. Elnos teams installed entire electrical equipment in the massive machine, bringing to life the biggest spreader of the mining areas of the EPS so far. This massive mining machine has installed power of about 5630 kW; it weighs 2,060 tons and is 130 meters long. Number 12.000, which is a part of the spreader’s name, denotes number of cubic meters of material it can spread for only one hour of its operation.
