Solar power plant on Pag enters final construction phase

Construction of solar power plant Novalja (20.9 MWp) on the island of Pag has entered its final phase. Spanning 25 hectares, this plant is a true example of a serious-format solar energy project.

For our teams, this was a turnkey assignment. We took on the full technical scope – from drilling and stabilizing the foundations for the supporting structures, to assembling the mounting frames and installing the solar panels, and connecting medium-voltage (MV), low-voltage (LV), and DC cables.

A special segment was the installation of substations, ensuring stable transfer of the generated electricity into the power network. Installed were two substations of 6.6 MVA (20/0.8 kV) and one of 3.3 MVA (20/0.8 kV).

The SPP Novalja project once again confirms the strength of our solar engineering. Elnos teams have so far built more than 50 solar power plants across five markets – from rooftop installations to large ground-mounted systems.
