In the Czech Republic, Elnos Group is participating in the modernization of the power grid through three major projects for the reconstruction of 400 kV transmission lines. While two projects are currently in the implementation phase, the third is in preparation and scheduled to begin in September. All projects are being carried out on a turnkey basis, aiming to enhance the security of electricity supply.

Near the city of Plzeň, a comprehensive modernization of the V432/V429 transmission line is underway along a 13.5-kilometer route. The project is currently in its final phase of electrical assembly works, after which this section will boast a significantly higher level of reliability.

Simultaneously, in the wider Prague area, the reconstruction of a nearly 38-kilometer-long section of the V413/V412 transmission line is in progress. Following the successful dismantling of the existing infrastructure, electrical assembly works are now being carried out. The project’s completion is expected to significantly contribute to energy stability in the capital and its surroundings, as well as improve the overall efficiency of the power system.

The third project, the reconstruction of the V451/448 transmission line in the Liberec area, is planned to begin in September this year. This section brings new technical challenges but also an opportunity to further strengthen the grid infrastructure in the northern part of the country.

The investor for all three projects is the Czech transmission system operator ČEPS, which has entrusted Elnos Group with the realization of these endeavors.
