EPC Contract Signed for Vetrozelena – the Largest Wind Farm in the Balkans

Elnos Serbia has signed an EPC contract with Sinohydro Corporation Limited, a subsidiary of Power China Construction Group, for the construction of the Vetrozelena wind farm (300 MW), which will be the largest single wind power project in the Balkans.

With this agreement, our team assumes a key role in the development of the power infrastructure for one of the most significant regional renewable energy projects.

As a member of Elnos Group, Elnos Serbia will be responsible for the complete connection of the wind farm to the transmission system of Elektromreža Srbije. The scope of work includes the construction of a 35/400 kV substation with four 90 MVA power transformers, a 400 kV switchyard with six bays, a 7.5-kilometre double-circuit 400 kV transmission line, as well as accompanying infrastructure upgrades within the electricity distribution and telecommunications networks.

This project represents another EPC-based contract under which Elnos Serbia will deliver full engineering services, including design, construction works, procurement, and installation of equipment, system integration, testing, and commissioning.

“The expertise and dedication of our engineers, technicians, and assembly teams, combined with our comprehensive knowledge, extensive experience on similar projects, and the financial and organizational stability of the company, give us strong confidence that this project will also be completed successfully and within the agreed deadlines,” said Predrag Ćulibrk, Director of Elnos Serbia, at the contract signing ceremony.

He expressed his gratitude to Sinohydro Corporation Limited for the trust placed in Elnos Serbia, emphasizing his confidence that the project will be delivered to the highest standards.
