The construction of the wind farm Krivaca is near completion

This week, Elnos Group is carrying out the final works on the construction of the Krivača wind farm (103 MW) in eastern Serbia. This undertaking lasted more than two years and represents an important step in the region’s energy transition.

The construction of the Krivača wind farm was a demanding endeavour that necessitated coordination and teamwork.

This is why, during the peak of the work in June, which occurred at seven different locations, over 90 workers from four members of the Group – Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and North Macedonia – were employed. These employees were part of various divisions, including power plants, substations, infrastructure, transmission lines, as well as the relay protection and management team.

The Krivača wind park is expected to become operational in November.

Our works

On the construction of the wind farm, Elnos Group teams were engaged as the main contractor building the Balance of Plant – BoP, i.e., road infrastructure in the first phase of the project, and Connection Works – CW, i.e., the connections of this wind farm to the transmission network in the first and second phase of the project.

This included the construction of 13 kilometers of internal roads, the transformation facility of the 33/110 kV wind power plant Krivača, the 110 kV connection and distribution facility (CDF), the expansion of the two existing 110/35 kV substations in Veliko Gradište and Neresnica, the construction of a 110 kV transmission line, as well as the laying of 10 kV cable for powering the plant’s consumption of the connection-distribution plant (CDP) 110 kV Krivača.

A step towards the future

The Krivača wind park represents a significant step in Serbia’s green energy transition. With this project, Elnos Group has once again demonstrated its commitment to the mission of promoting green energy.
