Back in the Czech Republic – the second phase of the endeavour has begun

News | February 6, 2024

Our teams have returned to the field in the Czech Republic where they began the second stage of the revitalization of a 19-kilometer section of the transmission line near Prague as part of this project. Activities in this phase include the demolition of the tower constructions and foundations, installation of new tower structures, as well as electrical conductor and OPGW (Optical Ground Wire) installation.

This reconstruction aims to ensure a more secure power supply for residential and commercial properties in the wider Prague area. For Elnos, the V-413 transmission line holds special significance as the marks company’s first project in the Czech Republic and the first instance of delivering complete materials and equipment for transmission line construction outside of the region.

The reconstruction of the V-413 transmission line began in early 2023 and is scheduled to progress through phases until 2025, involving the modernization of a total of 37.69 kilometers of the transmission line. The investor of the project is a Czech Transmission System Operator, ČEPS.
