Signed an Agreement on Cooperation in the project of construction of HPP Dabar

Today, the companies Elnos Banja Luka and Voith Hydro Austria signed an Agreement on Cooperation in the project of construction of HPP Dabar in the Mixed Holding Power Utility of Republic of Srpska Managements premises in Trebinje.

The cooperation agreement was signed by Borko Torbica, Executive Vice President of the Management Board of ELNOS Group and Reinhold Schneider, Chief Operating Officer of Voith Hydro.

The cooperation agreement confirmed that ELNOS BL and Voith Hydro, together as partners, will participate in the Agreement with China Gezhouba Group Corporation (CGGC), which is the main contractor for the HPP Dabar construction project.

The signed contract confirmed the readiness to deliver equipment and perform works, and it is also a confirmation of the partnership and long-term cooperation between these two companies. Negotiations between the two companies are in the final phase and are expected to be completed by the end of March.

“Elnos Group and Voth Hydro have many years of successful cooperation, which has so far been crowned by a number of realized projects in the field of hydropower. We are convinced that our new joint engagement in the construction of HPP Dabar will be an engineering and professional breakthrough that will leave a special mark on the future realization of this project”, said Borko Torbica, Executive Vice President of Elnos Group on this occasion.

“The project HPP Dabar is the first greenfield Hydro Power Plant Project in Bosnia and Herzegovina since decades. It shows the high potential of Hydro Power in this region and will provide its share of a CO2 free electricity production. The project is another important milestone for Voith Hydro, continuing the long lasting and successful business partnership”, said Schneider.

The signing of the Cooperation Agreement between ELNOS BL and Voith Hydro was attended by Radovan Višković, Prime Minister of Republic of Srpska, Petar Djokić, Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining of Republic of Srpska and Luka Petrović, General Manager of Power Utility of Republic of Srpska.
