Completion of our major project in Denmark

After two years of intensive work, Elnos Group has successfully completed its first major project in Denmark – the construction of a double-circuit 400 kV transmission line from Holstebro to the German border.

This is one of the key energy projects in the country, representing an important step in strengthening the transmission of electricity from renewable sources and connecting the power systems of Denmark and Germany.

The scope of Elnos Group’s work was significant, including the assembly and erection of 438 towers, predominantly Thor towers, with up to 70 workers engaged on site during the most intensive phases of the project.

The transmission line stretches over 140 kilometers. The towers, up to 36 meters high and weighing between 24 and 55 tonnes, were installed at an average span of 330 meters, with foundations made of low-carbon concrete.

Thor towers are characterized by a distinctive design that combines high resistance to demanding weather conditions with reduced environmental impact, allowing them to blend into the landscape of western Denmark. This is the first time our teams have erected this type of tower.

The works were carried out in challenging weather conditions, requiring continuous adjustments to project dynamics and close coordination with local partners, further demonstrating the operational readiness and flexibility of our teams.
