This autumn, the Elnos Serbia teams brought an intensive continuation of civil works within one of the largest projects in Serbia – works at the construction of the 400 kV transmission line -SS Kragujevac 2-SS Kraljevo 3.
This project is part of the first phase of the Trans-Balkan Corridor through the Serbia. By this construction, the transmission network of 220 kV voltage level, which is at the end of its power in the western part of Serbia, will be replaced by a 400 kV voltage system.
That project employed our civil teams and transmission line sector, at transmission line section 16 km long.
The teams of Elnos Serbia are currently at works on the excavation for the transmission line towers foundation, after this phase, they will realize the erecting of transmission line structures, as well as installing stringing works.
This is a project within which we have been entrusted with the installation works: phase conductors, earth wire, glass insulators, suspension equipment, and OPGW.
Additionally, in our part of the Contract, there is the procurement of a phase conductor and an earth wire for the entire line, whose total length is 59.3 kilometers and where 174 transmission line towers will be installed.
We are especially proud that within this project we also use measures for environmental protection, personal health-protective measures on the entire transmission line route.
The realization of the project, the construction of the 400 kV transmission line SS Kragujevac 2 -SS Kraljevo 3 will bring a new safe and stable electricity supply on the territory of Serbia and at the same time will connect the Eastern and Western Europe markets.
The investor of the project is “Elektromreža Srbije”, and the works should be completed at the beginning of 2022.
